Spoiler warning! If you haven’t watched episode 5, stop reading! As expected, the latest episode of 1883, “Boring the Devil” gets off to a somber start. While the wagon train heads east again, Elsa (Isabel May) mourns for Ennis (Eric Nelsen) and is inconsolable and not ready to return to being a cowgirl. Shea (Sam Elliott) helps Elsa cope with her loss and reveals a little bit about himself in the process. When the caravan stops at a trading post, Noemi (Gratiela Brancusi) looks to sell some of her deceased husband’s things for much needed supplies. Thomas (LaMonica Garrett) helps her and also brings her a gift. Things don’t seem to get much easier as the wagons head toward Indian territory and another river they must cross. After Tom Hank’s cameo early this season, his wife, Rita Wilson, is getting in on the Taylor Sheridan action. Wilson guest stars on 1883 episode 6 and provides some much needed comic relief in an otherwise somber episode. You need to watch her scenes with Faith Hill! In the Parade.com exclusive first look at “Boring the Devil,” Shea shares his experience being inconsolable after the death of a loved one with a distraught Elsa.
