How to Make Chicken Wraps
Basically the formula for making chicken wraps is this: pieces of cooked chicken and other ingredients of your choice, plus something to wrap the chicken in. Most commonly, flour tortillas are used to make chicken tortilla wraps, but you can also use naan bread or other flatbreads to wrap the chicken in. For a low-carb version, you can also wrap the chicken in pieces of lettuce, just like the famous PF Chang’s version!
How to Make Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Making chicken lettuce wraps is really as simple as it sounds. You’ll need fresh lettuce leaves (you can use either ice berg lettuce, romaine lettuce, butter lettuce, or even red or green lettuce). If you don’t have lettuce on hand, you can also use fresh chard leaves as another option. Use the lettuce leaves as you would a flour tortilla, place the cooked chicken and other ingredients (such as cashews, walnuts, sesame seeds, etc.) in the middle and then fold the lettuce and eat. I told you it was simple!
What to Serve with Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Since lettuce wraps tend to be lower in carbs, you can serve them with sides such as roasted sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, corn on the cob or even sautéed veggies.
