News of the series first sprung up in May. NBC tweeted, “Oh you thought #AGT was extreme enough already? We’re taking the most outrageous and jaw-dropping daredevil acts and having them vie for the ultimate title in AGT: Extreme, coming soon to @NBC!" The new show will feature contestants going “head-to-head in the most wild, wacky and craziest stunts to vie for the ultimate title.” Stunt performances have been a key part of America’s Got Talent since the first season, though notably no stunt acts have won the show proper. Now is a chance for them to get their moment in the sun. Cowell and Crews will serve as the AGT crossovers to the new series. The former, most well known for bringing his judging expertise to shows like American Idol and The X-Factor, served as an executive producer for America’s Got Talent back when it debuted in 2006. He has been a judge since season 11 in 2016. Actor Crews has been the host for the program since season 14 in 2019. He also is starring in another NBC show, part of the cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, now in its final season. Nikki Bella is a retired professional wrestler, having stepped into the ring from 2007 to 2019. She started her career as the “Bella twins” alongside her sister Brie, though went solo towards the end of her career. She ranked first in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Female 50 in November 2015, and was named “Diva of the Year” by Rolling Stone in December 2015.While participating on Dancing with the Stars in season 25, she began to get involved with her professional partner Artem Chigvintsev, with whom she is currently engaged. Travis Pastrana is a motorsports competitor and stunt performer. He’s won a slew of gold medals across the X-Games, competing in supercross, motocross, freestyle motocross, and rally racing. He has recently gotten into a new set of wheels, driving for several years in NASCAR. Pastrana has set records as a daredevil, replicating three jumps from legendary stuntman Evel Knieval. NBC has yet to announce the premiere for AGT: Extreme, especially considering the network’s Winter Olympics coverage in February. But with an all-star roster behind it, the new show is revved up and ready to go. Next, Everything You Need to Know About Season 16, Including All the Golden Buzzers
