The Dear Evan Hansen alums decided to make their love a forever promise with a dreamy proposal that ended in a resounding “yes.”  The pair announced the news via Instagram on Friday, Nov. 25, with Platt, 29, sharing a series of snaps from the romantic moment, as well as a close-up of his fiancé’s new ring.  “He agreed to hang out forever 💕” the Pitch Perfect alum captioned the post, which also featured the couple smiling for their first photos as husbands-to-be.  Galvin, 28, also shared the same snaps to his own Instagram page, along with an additional selfie to show off his brand new bling.  “I said yeehaw and then cried for like 7 hours” he wrote in his caption.  Tons of followers and fellow celebrities gushed over the exciting news in the comments, including Rachel Zelger, Maude Apatow, Jordin Sparks and many more who offered their congratulations to the happy couple.  “😍😍😍😍” Sarah Hyland commented on Platt’s post, while Ariana Grande left “🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹” under the sweet photos. Platt and Galvin first began their love story in 2020 after initially meeting as a result of both actors playing the titular role in the Tony award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen. After Platt stepped down from the role, Galvin was announced as his replacement in 2017, prompting a friendship that would later become a once-in-a-lifetime romance.  “We were friends for five years and right before the pandemic, we finally decided to really give it a shot. We kind of skated around it for a long time,” Platt previously told Kelly Clarkson during an appearance on her daytime talk show in 2021, per People.  He also said that he and Galvin’s relationship went from “zero to 60” very quickly, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, when they started “living together with my parents in our childhood home and seeing each other all the time.” “It ended up being a beautiful time,” the People We Hate at the Wedding actor said, with Clarkson adding that the pair’s relationship “could be a movie in and of itself.”  And we can’t disagree, as Platt and Galvin are now headed down the aisle to spend forever at each other’s side.  More News:
