What is A Dickens of a Holiday! about?
Christmas Eve marks the 100th anniversary of Dickens Days in Dickens, Ohio, a Victorian festival that ends with the community theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol.However, when the lead actor is forced to drop out, director Cassie(Brooke D’Orsay) reachesout to Dickensnative and former classmate, Jake (Kristoffer Polaha), anaction movie starwho wants more serious roles in Hollywood.Work between Cassie and Jake is problematicat first, but the more they rehearse and take part in the holiday activities of Dickens’ Days, the more Cassie and Jake warm up to each other.It’s up to director Cassie to show Jakethe actorhe’s capable ofaserious, leading-man role.In turn, Jake helps Cassie realize she’s still the most likely to succeed, just in roles she never expected: a teacher,a coach and a leader.

Brooke D’Orsay (Cassie)
D’Orsay’s first foray into Hallmark Channel films was the 2012 movie How to Fall in Love opposite Eric Mabius. She also starred in last year’s A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance, First Love on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and previously starred in the long-running TV series Royal Pains and Drop Dead Diva.
Kristoffer Polaha (Jake)
Fan favorite Polaha has starred in multiple films for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, including the Mystery 101 series of movies alongside Jill Wagner. He also co-authored the book Moments Like This with Anna Gomez; their next on-page collaboration, Where the Sun Rises, is due out in March 2022.
