In a press release shared with Parade, the American-Chinese restaurant chain announced that it would offer a buy-one-get-one-free deal to celebrate the limited-time return of its popular Beyond The Original Orange Chicken dish. Following a very successful regional launch last year, the restaurant decided to roll out the meat-free dish (made with plant-based Beyond Meat in place of chicken) nationwide earlier this month–and vegetarians were ecstatic. Beyond The Original Orange Chicken dish mimics the company’s fan-favorite orange chicken dish, just without any meat products. Panda Express described the popular entree as “crunchy, tangy, and made from plants.” The promotion will be available nationwide at participating Panda Express locations starting Monday, Sept. 26, and running until Sunday, Oct. 9. Think a free bowl is too good to be true? Well, you’d be wrong–but there are a few stipulations. First, the deal is only valid on orders made either in its app or online. So if you try to order in person at the restaurant, you’ll have to pay full price. Second, guests must purchase one Beyond The Original Orange Chicken dish to get the second bowl free. Each bowl includes the entree and your choice of side. And third, in order to activate the promotion, customers must use code BEYOND at checkout; the discount will not apply automatically.
