The off-the-beaten-track dating experiment has been met with mixed results—Season 1 saw success stories like Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton and Amber Pike and Matt Barnett while (spoileralert!) Season 2 produced two sets of “I dos”— Iyanna McNeely and Jarette Jones and Nick Thompson and DanielleRuhl. But despite the show’s so-so track record for marriages, there’s no denying that the series is here to stay. Not only do viewers love it, but even most of the show’s participants seem to agree: Love is definitely blind and this experiment works… even if it doesn’t always culminate happily ever after. “It’s not a show of gotchas, or producers pulling strings. There was no guarantee anybody was going to do anything,” show creator Chris Coelen told Deadline in June 2020. “Nobody had to fall in love; nobody had to get engaged; nobody had to make it to the altar; nobody had to get married. It was their free will that led them to each of those steps.” With the next step in this journey being a third season, here’s everything we know so far about Love Is Blind Season 3, from a potential release date to casting news.
When is Love Is Blind Season 3’s release date?
Ready for more love in the Pods? Season 2 may have just wrapped (with its reunion episode dropping on Friday, March 4, 2022), but fans are already eagerly awaiting Season 3. While an official release date has yet to be announced, Vanessa Lachey has given us good reason to believe that fans won’t have to wait too long. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in September 2021, she revealed, “So, we shot Season 1, that’s gonna come out February 2022, and I don’t know, am I allowed to say? We shot Season 3 already.” With the filming of Season 3 already in the bag, it stands to reason that it may come out sooner rather than later. Although, fans did have a long wait between Season 1 and Season 2. (You may recall that the show originally premiered just in time for the world to change a la social distancing, quarantine, and coronavirus back in February 2020; Season 2 premiered two years later in February 2022.) So, unfortunately, it’s kind of a toss-up. Though, if Love Is Blind continues to premiere during the month of February, the soonest we would see Season 3 is likely February 2023. There’s a slight chance that we’ll have to wait until February 2024—following that original two-year gap between seasons—but with filming already completed, it’s more likely that the two-year gap was mostly a result of COVID-19 production delays.
How to watch Love Is Blind Season 3
Season 3 of Love Is Blind has once again been picked up by Netflix. In the same fashion as previous seasons, Season 3 will likely premiere a few episodes at a time with a reunion episode available to stream a week or so after the finale.
Who will host Love Is Blind Season 3?
Nick and Vanessa Lachey are once again returning as hosts of Love Is Blind for Season 3.
How many episodes are in Season 3 of Love Is Blind?
Season 1 of Love Is Blind contained 11 episodes in total, including the reunion. More than a year later, Netflix released a three-episode special—“After the Altar”—on July 28, 2021. Sort of like a reunion-after-the-reunion, “After the Altar” caught up with the couples from Season 1, showing fans who was still together, who remained married, and who was still on tumultuous terms (obviously that’s Pike, Barnett and Jessica Batten). Love Is Blind Season 2 saw 11 episodes, including its reunion episode. There’s no word as of yet if we’ll get a Season 2 follow-up special like Season 1’s “After the Altar.” That being said, there is no reason to believe that Season 3 of Love Is Blind won’t follow a similar structure of 11 episodes total.
Is there a trailer for Season 3 of Love Is Blind?
Netflix, Coelen, and frankly, even the cast of Season 3 have all been keeping mum when it comes to the new season so, unfortunately, there’s basically no information on casting as of yet. However, earlier this year, Coelen promised Metrothat Season 3 would be “very different” from past seasons. “Every season is totally unique,” Coelen said. “Season 3 is a very different being than either Season 1 or Season 2. But for now, I’m excited just for people to see Season 2. They’re a great group of people, and I hope people enjoy it.”
Where is Season 3 of Love Is Blind taking place?
Season 1 took place in Atlanta, Georgia and Season 2 filmed in Chicago, Illinois. While we know for sure that the third season has already been filmed, there’s no word yet on where the new cast of singles filmed.
Who’s in the Season 3 cast of Love Is Blind?
The Season 3 cast of Love Is Blind has not yet been revealed, but we will continue to update this article as more information is announced. However, Season 1 and Season 2 both cast a total of 30 singles (although not every cast member paired up, or even made it to the altar for that matter). As far as standard Love Is Blind procedure goes, the cast usually is not announced until two weeks before the premiere. “Both Season 1 and Season 2, we really tried to have a diverse pool of participants in every sense of what that word means—whether it’s experience or body type or ethnicity or whatever,” Coelen told The Los Angeles Times. However, Love Is Blind has certainly been met with criticism about not having a diverse-enough cast. “There’s only so many people that we showed. It’s certainly not like we said, ‘Let’s stack the deck,’” Coelen explained. “No, we had every kind of person that we could find come into this environment and everybody had an equal opportunity. We don’t steer or control any of it. We just set up the mechanism and help move them around, depending on who they want to spend time with.”
Will there be a Love Is Blind Season 4?
Honestly, it looks pretty promising! There has not been any official confirmation of a Love Is Blind Season 4 as of yet, but as Coelen told Variety, “I think we’ll be doing Season 20.” Not to mention, the show’s casting website is still completely accessible (available here if you’re interested in applying!). That makes it seem all the more likely that producers are already casting for Season 4. Next, Meet the Women Vying for Clayton Echard’s Final Rose on Season 26 of The Bachelor
