The 70-year-old TV personality was rushed to the hospital on Friday, Dec. 16, after emergency personnel responded to a call at the Glen Tavern Inn in Ventura County, Calif., according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. The inn happens to be a previous location for paranormal investigations on Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures and Dead Files, although it is unclear what exactly Obsourne was filming and whether the cameras were rolling. EMS workers arrived on the site around 6:30 p.m. local time, after which the U.K.-born star was taken to Santa Paula Hospital. Glen Tavern’s manager confirmed to TMZ, who was first to report the news, that there was an “emergency,” but did not provide any further details. According to THR, the Ventura County Fire Department confirmed a patient was taken to the Santa Paula Hospital, while Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar confirmed the patient was Osbourne. No additional information about Osbourne’s status has been revealed at this time. Osbourne was previously hospitalized for a bout of COVID-19 in December 2020, which she contracted again in May of this year, around the same time husband Ozzy Osbourne and daughter Kelly Osbourne tested positive. The Unbreakable author is usually known to be the caretaker rather than the patient, as she has long cared for her husband, 74, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease. Earlier this year, the Talk alum opened up about Ozzy’s battle with the illness, which he was diagnosed with in 2003. “Suddenly, your life just stops…Life as you knew it,” she stated as part of the Paxman: Putting Up With Parkinson’s documentary. “When I look at my husband, my heart breaks for him. I’m sad for myself to see him that way, but what he goes through is worse. And sometimes when I look at him and he doesn’t know I’m looking at him, I’m like crying,” she added at the time.
