Who won Survivor 41?
She started the season as a lamb, and hoped to become the lion. Erika Casupanan smashed expectations (and hourglasses) to become the season 41 victor. Despite being up against some stiff competition all season long, she was able to go from the bottom to a position of power within a few chaotic votes, and the jury awarded her for her gameplay with a near-unanimous win. Erika becomes the first woman to win a Survivor season since season 34 in 2017. And she becomes the first Canadian citizen to win the show, only one season after applications were open to our neighbor to the north.
Who was eliminated on Survivor 41 tonight?
Deshawn Raddenfinished in second place, after a roller coaster showing. He netted one jury vote from his closest ally Danny. Xander Hastings, one of the youngest contestants of the season, came in third, not getting any votes from his fellow players. Heather Aldret, the season’s oldest competitor, was eliminated in fourth, losing the fire-making tiebreaker against Deshawn in a shockingly close back-and-forth. And Ricard Foyé was the first of the night to be voted out in fifth, after not winning immunity when he crucially needed it.
Was there a reunion show for Survivor 41?
Yes, but in a very different way than other seasons! For the first time in the show’s history, an after show was done shortly after the votes were read, on the island with the winner, finalists, and jury. As host and executive producer Jeff Probst told Parade, the decision was made on location to not deprive the contestants an opportunity to debrief if the COVID-19 situation had not let up by December to allow for live events.
