That video, which was posted just a few days ago, is sitting at 37 million views. Many of those viewers took to the comments demanding the backstory to the video; was no one aware that she was pregnant? The uploader finally shared the explanation everyone has been waiting for yesterday, Oct. 17. Captioned “STORYTIME!!!,” two girls from the class explained the situation, revealing that it was completely staged.  “I’m going to start off by saying that it was a staged video. We are in ultrasound school, and we were having a competition about who could make the best sonography-related video,” one of the girls explained. “So, we had an idea to make a video pretending that we didn’t know she was pregnant. So, we all knew, she knew, we’ve all known for a while,” she continued.Viewers also expressed their concerns over the group breaking HIPAA laws, which protect a patient’s health information from being disclosed by their providers without the patient’s consent or knowledge. The girls went on to explain that, “No HIPAA laws were broken because A. we’re in school, we’re students, we’re not registered, we’re not licensed, and B. everybody involved knew.” They also noted that they were not expecting the video to blow up the way that it did.  Many people took to the comments to share that they actually believed the first video.“It’s the faces when you turned the monitor that got me because they all actually looked really shocked,” one user commented in regard to the original.Another user wrote, “give everyone an oscar.“Someone else commented, “I knew it was staged but you guys did such a good job! It was so entertaining. I don’t think the other class could beat that. i hope you guys won!!!” More News:
