Many cruise companies will be offering some itineraries in June and July, while others are planning to return later in the fall. Travel regulations continue to shift and these cruise reopening details may change, so continue to check back here for the latest updates. Update May 19: The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently announced an update to its COVID-19 guidelines for cruises. Travelers who are fully vaccinated will no longer be required to be tested at embarkation or disembarkation for shorter voyages. The CDC clarified in a follow-up statement that disembarkation testing will still be required for voyages of more than four nights. Meanwhile, testing will be required for passengers who are not fully vaccinated, or who are embarking on back-to-back journeys, according to Seatrade Cruise News.

Cruiseline Reopening Dates in 2021

Aida Cruises

The European cruise company is currently accepting bookings for June for cruises to the Canary Islands and Greece, according to an April 27 update on the company’s website. They are currently not offering cruises to other destinations.

Azamara

Azamara has suspended all cruises, with sailing to resume later this summer. They will offer their Azamara Quest once more on Aug. 28, the Azamara Journey on Oct. 13, and the Azamara Pursuit cruise on Sept. 28, according to an update on their website.

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line

This cruise line is accepting bookings for sailings beginning July 2.  “Since the initial outbreak of COVID-19 we have remained one of the few cruise lines that reported no cases of the virus onboard our ships, and we have worked to install the highest safety protocols onboard Grand Classica, which is now well-suited to fulfill the needs of our guests’ and crew,” the company said in an April 9 release. 

Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Cruise Line recently extended its pause in all operations from U.S. ports through June 30, according to an April 6 news release. The company is offering travelers credits or full refunds for already-booked journeys.

Celebrity Cruises

All Celebrity Cruises sailings from the U.S. are currently suspended until June 30, according to an April 8 release, although the company is continuing service in other parts of the world. 

Celestyal Cruises

This cruise line with service around the Greek islands and the eastern Mediterranean will resume sailing on May 29, after initially announcing that sailing would resume in late April. 

Costa Cruises

Sailings from this Mediterranean cruise company resumed on May 1 on the Costa Smeralda, while voyages on the  Costa Deliziosa and the Costa Magica resuming on May 29, according to an announcement from Costa Cruises. Other itineraries will resume in June. Check out their announcement for the complete list of planned cruising dates for each ship. 

Crystal Cruises

The luxury cruise company’s Crystal Esprit yacht voyages are canceled through Sept. 26, according to an April 23 news release. All Crystal River Cruises voyages are also canceled from July 4 to Aug. 28. The company’s ocean cruise ships,Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, are suspended through June, according to Travel Weekly.

Cunard Line 

Cunard’s sailing operations are currently paused, according to an April 19 announcement on their website. They also shared updates on sailing dates for individual ships: Queen Victoria sailings are canceled through Aug. 27, Queen Elizabeth departures are canceled through Oct. 11, and Queen Mary 2 departures are canceled through Nov. 12. 

Disney Cruise Line 

All U.S. departures are suspended through June, including all Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder sailings, according to an April 15 update. European sailings of Disney Magic are also canceled through Sept. 18, and three Disney magic sailings leaving from New York are canceled through Oct. 9.

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines

The UK-based cruise company has canceled its Borealis, Bolette and Balmoral sailings through June, and its Braemar sailings are canceled until spring 2022. 

Holland America Line 

Holland America Line’s operations are currently suspended through June 30, according to a recent release from United Cruises. Holland America Line also recently announced that it will restart cruises from Athens, Greece, in August, with bookings now open.  The company also announced that its European cruises aboard Volendam from July 1 through July 25, and aboard Westerdam from July 1 through Aug. 31, are canceled, but that replacement voyages will be offered. Marella Cruises

The European cruise company has extended its pause in operations for Marella Discovery and its sister ship, Marella Discovery 2, until July 31, according to an April 16 release. Meanwhile, new UK coastal cruise itineraries will launch this summer, but as of now, they will only be open to UK residents traveling domestically.

MSC Cruises 

MSC says several of it ships will be available to book for sailings in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe this summer, including the MSC Gradiosa, MSC Seaside, MSC Seashore, MSC Orchestra, MSC Splendida, MSC Magnifica, MSC Seaview, MSC Preziosa and MSC Musica.  Meanwhile, the entire 2021 deployment of the MSC Magnifica has been canceled, according to the company’s website. Through June 2021, MSC cruises will only be available to residents of Schengen countries, a group of 26 countries across Europe.

Norwegian Cruise Line 

Five itineraries in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean are now open to book from Norwegian Cruise Line. Meanwhile, 12 of the company’s 17 ships have been suspended until the summer or fall. Here’s the complete list of suspended ships, with reopening dates ranging from July 31 to Nov. 31. 

Oceania Cruises 

Oceania has suspended all scheduled departures aboard Marina through Aug. 19, according to an April 28 release. All departures aboard Riviera, Regatta, Insignia, Nautica and Sirena are also canceled through Sept. 30. 

P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises has canceled cruises on Arcadia, Aurora, Azura and Ventura until the end of August, and on Britannia and Iona until “late September,” according to an update on the company’s website.

Ponant

Some sailings across Europe will resume this summer beginning in June, while other itineraries have been canceled. Check out the complete list of confirmed and canceled sailings here, in a pamphlet released by Ponant on April 23. 

Princess Cruises 

Global ship operations are currently suspended, with cancellation dates varying by line. Diamond Princess Cruises including Japan are suspended through Nov. 8, while sailings from Seattle are suspended through June 27, and cruises in the Caribbean, California coast, Mexico and Mediterranean are paused through June 30. Regent Seven Seas Cruises 

Operations are currently suspended, with sailing to resume on Sept. 11 with the launch of Seven Seas Splendor, leaving from Southampton, UK. The Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Voyager, Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Navigator are suspended through Sept. 30. 

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection

These luxury yacht cruises will launch starting in November, with the first itinerary, a 7-night voyage from San Juan, Puerto Rico to the Castries, Saint Lucia, departing on Nov. 10. 

Royal Caribbean 

Global sailing is suspended through June 30. Sailings aboard Quantum, Spectrum, Voyager, Anthem, Adventure, Vision, Jewel, and Odyssey of the Seas will be suspended beyond this date, with some sailings resuming in August and some in October. Check here for the dates sailing will resume on individual Royal Caribbean ships. 

Seabourn

Global ship operations are currently paused. Some departures will resume this summer, with Seabourn Ovation returning to service on July 3 with a Greece voyage, and Seabourn Odyssey returning on July 18 with a Caribbean voyage. 

Silversea 

The luxury cruise line will return to service on June 18, offering voyages on its new flagship, Silver Moon, around the Greek islands, Israel and Cyprus. 

Virgin Voyages 

All sailings on the Scarlet Lady have been suspended from July 4 through Sept. 17, according to an April 7 release. Meanwhile, the Valiant Lady is set to make its maiden voyage on Nov. 14. 

Windstar Cruises
